Computers power today’s world and the field of computer science continues to evolve. Now, American Military University (AMU) has introduced two online degrees in computer science. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science features concentrations in cyber operations and artificial intelligence. Nearly every course in this program addresses some element of cyber operations. Students will also learn about algorithms and data structures, machine architecture, programming, database systems, and network security. American Military University (AMU) is breaking new ground as one of the first universities to offer an academic major in esports, also known as electronic sports. The Bachelor of Science in Esports takes students beyond video games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, and League of Legends to engage in a serious academic examination of organized individual and multiplayer video game competitions. The business of esports, including marketing, revenue generation, and sponsorships, is thoroughly examined, as well as event and facility management, player performance and development, and esports media and production. The Master of Arts in Human Resource Management provides those interested in the field the opportunity to enhance their knowledge of employee recruitment and retention, compensation, and diversity initiatives. This MA aligns with the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) core curriculum and explores laws, rules, and regulations along with strategies for employee recruitment, retention, evaluation, and development. American Military University (AMU) now offers two new online degrees in interdisciplinary studies. The Associate of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies allows students to attain knowledge and skills that provide a solid foundation for academic achievement. The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies allows students to build their own focus. Students complete general education classes, then choose courses in business and management, communication and media, natural and social sciences, and social services as they enhance their communication and critical thinking skills.
